“Magic, and all other forms of personal interaction, are most effective when you can predict a persons behavior. Personalities are formed by means of trial and error. When we try a behavior, like being helpful, and like the response we get, we do it again, get the same response, and continue with that behavior. After awhile, the behavior becomes habit, a pattern is formed, and we become predictable. Once you start observing behavior patterns you can quite effectively predict their probable reaction to a given set of situations. Allow me to demonstrate.”
